Couple Steps Up To Floor Piano. Plays Classic Tune That Has Crowd Instantly Cheering
When Silvia Zotto and Leo Moreno stepped onto their massive, portable piano mat, no one could’ve assumed that their performance would be so incredible. With ease and enthusiasm, the couple pressed the piano keys with their feet to the tune of “Pink Panther” theme song and the crowd loved every second!
Silvia and Leo are members of an Italian pop-up performance group called the “Il Grande Piano,” which translates into “The Big Piano.” The group’s website explains the inspiration behind their pop-up musical troupe.
As it turns out, The Big Piano was born from a film taken from the “Big” movie where Tom Hanks charms the customers of the famous New York FAO Schwarz Toy Store. The creative genius of Manuel Benyacar del Faber Teatro has succeeded in recreating a similar instrument, easy to transport and assembly.
“This, coupled with the musical abilities of the most prestigious arranger and the athletic and artistic aptitude of the ‘pied pianists,’ has created the fantastic set of GRAND PIANO.”
The Il Grande Piano performance group is proof that it doesn’t take much to impress fans of live music and dance! You just need a portable piano mat, big smiles and an enthusiastic routine!
As a testament to the skill both performers showed in this performance, the crowd continued to grow as Silvia and Leo ran through their routine. The people gathered around were clapping along, enjoying the duo’s dancing.
Leo and Silvia not only appear to love the crowd’s response, but they love what they’re doing. They can’t stop grinning at each other.
Silvia’s flowing white lyrical dress adds a smooth contrast to the jazzy ditty they’re playing on the piano with their toes. Leo is all decked out in a matching white dress shirt, black pants and a black bow tie, lending a fancy and professional look to their performance.
The moment the pair finished, everyone watching broke out into deafening cheers! It really is truly amazing what they can do with their feet on an oversized piano.
